THE HISTORY...

The Adair Place was named in honour of the Adair family whose land was purchased to build the seniors residence. John Adair (1804-1888) and Eliza (Hannah) Adair (1807-1883) settled in Tamworth in the 1800's and raised 11 children. Their century home is still in use today and is down the lane behind the Adair Place Seniors Residence..
